it was a little crispy leaf i found on the sidewalk that inspired this image. really wasn't ready to accept that summer was over, and then i saw and picked up this little orangey-brownish leaf with five perfectly pointed tips daintily curled up to the sky. As soon as i picked it up to carry it carefully home ~ i was ready for fall, autumn and cooler weather! =)

REally like this. This so reminds me of me (even at 58)!! Every year my kids were at home I would come running in with the most beautiful orange/red/yellow leaf and say - "Look! Look at this gorgeous fall leaf." ONe of the girls would say, 'yeah, mom, we know, just like the one you showed us last week or was it last year?" Now I show them to my grandgirls. Thanks for this lovely depiction. I truly admire your work.
