At the elementary school I was to visit, a Book Cover Art Contest was held for 2nd through 6th grade students. 10 talented, delightful boys and girls gathered with me for something very special planned for us ~ Lunch together in the Principal's office! I mean, do you understand just how extraordinary this was for us all?!? We actually sat and ate at the table where very important meetings are held! Where vital decisions are made by the Principal and his staff! We all knew this was a rare and unique event. =0)
We were all treated to a yummy lunch, while we enjoyed fun conversation and some time to get to know one another. Being with other artists is ALWAYS a treat! These students are not only amazingly talented, but truly so much fun to know! Their futures are very bright and promising!
